Meet the New “Meat” from Impossible™ Foods at Galaxy Macau

(Hong Kong and Macau, 30 July 2018) ─ THE dining destination in Asia, Galaxy Macau™ is now the first and only place in Macau to serve award-winning plant-based meat from Impossible™ Foods. Launching 27 July at three Galaxy Macau restaurants – CHA BEI, The Apron Oyster Bar & Grill and The Noodle Kitchen – avid foodies can now enjoy this exclusive chance to indulge in the delicious, wholesome, immensely popular “meat”, with the mouthwatering flavor but only a tiny fraction of the environmental impact.

Impossible Foods’ meat” is 100% plant-based and vegan friendly. Developed by former Stanford biochemistry professor Patrick Brown, Impossible™ meat delivers all the craveable flavor, aroma and beefiness of meat from cows – but it’s all made from plants. It has earned an enthusiastic following in the United States, served at more than 3,000 restaurants, and in Hong Kong where Impossible Foods celebrated its international launch earlier this year to wide acclaim.

CHA BEI

CHA BEI, a multifaceted lifestyle concept focused on living well and eating better, has invented a menu of three delicious dishes with Impossible meat. The Impossible Tex-Mex Tacos (MOP108) offer authentic south-of-the-border flavor with a delectable balance of seasoned ground “meat” with tangy salsa and fresh herbs. The Impossible 853 Burger (MOP158) is an authentically Macanese twist on the original award-winning ImpossibleTM Burger, served with marinated pepper and Piri Piri mayo on a brioche bun. A regional classic reimagined with Impossible meat, the Thai Lettuce Wraps (MOP98) are packed with bold, fresh flavor.

The Apron

The Apron – known for its fresh oysters and varieties of dry-aged beef – will showcase two creative preparations of the plant-based meat. Taste the Impossible Chipotle Croquettes (MOP98), flavored with Mexican spices and served with a light potato puree and smoky chipotle mayo; and the Impossible Vegetable Millefeuille (MOP128), herbed “meat” patties served with Mediterranean-style grilled vegetables and black olive sauce.

The Noodle Kitchen

The Noodle Kitchen, which features handmade noodles made from fresh flour imported from Inner Mongolia, will incorporate Impossible meat from the West into three traditional Chinese dishes. Impossible Seared Meat Buns (MOP98) are stuffed with mushroom and cabbage, then injected with mushroom stock for a burst of flavor. The Impossible Chive Dumplings (MOP98) is a light and healthy version of the traditional northern dumplings, seasoned with chives and served with aged vinegar. Impossible Tossed Noodles with Spiced Eggplant (MOP128) is the perfect combination of Impossible meat with The Noodle Kitchen’s signature freshly hand-pulled noodles, topped with an utterly delicious spiced eggplant sauce.

Mr. John Sloane, Assistant Senior Vice President, F&B Operations and Culinary of Galaxy Macau, Galaxy Entertainment Group, said, “At Galaxy Macau, every bite is a new discovery! We’re thrilled to introduce Impossible meat for the first time in Macau, bringing more options to our vegan and vegetarian diners and letting meat lovers experience alternative versions of their favorite Asian and international dishes. With eight new dishes made of Impossible meat now on offer across three of our fantastic outlets, Galaxy Macau is once again the place to go for the most exclusive and exciting dining experiences.”

To celebrate the launch of Impossible Foods in Macau, an event was held on 27 July, 2018 at CHA BEI, Galaxy Macau. Nick Halla, Senior Vice President for International at Impossible Foods, kicked off CHA BEI’s Conscious Living Series with a product introduction followed by personal sharing from Taboocha Founders - Sisters Lisa and Patricia Lam, and Angie P. from Positiv Wellness. Around 50 guests attended the event, including Mr. Cheng Wai Tong, Acting Director of the Macao Government Tourism Office and HK celebrity yoga coach Almen Wong.
