This Spring, 8½ Otto e Mezzo BOMBANA invites you on a gastronomic journey to Sardinia, the Mediterranean’s second-largest island, where pastoral traditions meet the murmurs of the sea. These evocative stories are reimagined with elegant finesse by Michelin-starred Executive Chef Marino D’Antonio. 

 

Fregola Sarda

Handmade from durum wheat, fregola is one of Sardinia’s most iconic pastas. Its delicately toasted, chewy pearls are paired with the umami sweetness of deep-sea red prawns, creating a dish of refined depth and warmth.

Malloreddus Sardi

The shell-shaped malloreddus pasta is cloaked in a rich seafood jus, with firm rock lobster imparting its signature ocean freshness. Rustic yet indulgent, each mouthful offers both comfort and decadence.

Lamb, Campidanese Style

A specialty of southern Sardinia, tender lamb is complemented by a sauce infused with native myrtle berries. Their robust herbal fragrance, balanced with the bright freshness of artichoke, lends the dish a distinctly rustic elegance.

Pardulas

Among Sardinia’s most beloved desserts, these star-shaped tartlets are filled with delicate, milky ricotta. A tangy lemon gelato adds a burst of citrus, illuminating the dish like a ray of Mediterranean sunlight.

Available Thursday to Sunday, this lunch menu is complemented by wine-pairing options curated by our sommelier. Guests are also invited to bring their own bottle with no corkage fee—an exclusive privilege for lunch patrons.
