The March edition of “Adventures in the Cavern” welcomes Kit Cheung—visionary mixologist and pioneering craft distiller from Hong Kong—for an inspired exchange with Tatler Best Rising Star and Chief Mixologist, Nokoy Mak.

A respected figure across Asia and Europe’s bartending circles, Kit has quietly redefined Hong Kong’s spirits landscape. Rooted in Chinese wellness philosophy, his creations are infused with organic botanicals, unfolding in expressions that feel distinctly Hong Kong—vibrant, invigorating, yet unexpectedly nuanced.

In 2016, he co-created Hong Kong’s first locally distilled gin. By 2020, he introduced the world’s first sugar-free coffee liqueur. Most recently, he ventured into whisky, founding Tankyu Distillery in Higashikawa—a bold new chapter shaped by precision and terroir.
