It all began in St-Tropez in the summer of 1971.
Fred Prysquel, motoring journalist, didn’t find the molding playboy swim briefs of the time to be quite to his liking. To seduce the woman in his life, he designed a swimsuit inspired by surfer’s board-shorts and boxer’s shorts. Following the success that this enjoyed, he set about producing swimsuits. And thus the house of Vilebrequin was born!
A reference in swimwear for over 40 years, the house of Vilebrequin cultivates elegance and fantasy, faithful to the relaxed charm of its St-Tropez origins. Long-lasting and always in style, the Vilebrequin swimsuit transcends time and generations from fathers to sons.
Ambassador of a sun-drenched lifestyle, Vilebrequin has broadened its collections to cover both masculine and feminine, offering each a line of swimwear, ready-to-wear and accessories.
