(Macau, May 28, 2020) – "Fight the virus together" was the key message for the first quarter of 2020. The Macau SAR Government responded quickly with comprehensive measures to protect local residents while also sending emergency medical supplies into mainland China to fight the epidemic. Everyone in Macau has united together against an invisible threat. There are many moving, untold stories about people who worked selflessly behind the scenes to protect everyone around them. As a tribute to all of the Macau residents who worked together as heroes for our city, StarWorld Hotel, Galaxy Macau™ and Broadway Macau™ are launching the "Galaxy Appreciates Heroes" campaign from now to June 14. Through this campaign, residents can share their messages of gratitude for their heroes on electronic "Appreciation Cards" , and we are offering special gift packs to every single Macau resident who silently defeated the virus and helped safeguard our home!

Thanks to the successful efforts of the Macau SAR Government to prevent the spread of virus and the cooperation of every Macau resident, we have seen the first light of victory. Everyone is a hero – from Macau residents who diligently stayed at home, medical personnel, police officers, firefighters, customs officials and government employees – to other important frontline workers such as engineering technicians who ensure sufficient water and power supplies, educators, hotel hygiene teams, people in transportation who ensure the smooth flow of goods, food deliverers and journalists who continue to report the latest news. They have all worked tirelessly to safeguard Macau.
