Galaxy Macau, the World-class Luxury Integrated Resort

Galaxy Macau™ is the world-class luxury integrated resort destination in Macau with an Asian heart. Opening on May 15, 2011, Phase 1 of Galaxy Macau includes three world-class Asian hotels: the ultra-exclusive Banyan Tree Macau, the award-winning Galaxy Hotel™ and Japan’s legendary Hotel Okura Macau. Galaxy Macau quickly gained a reputation for being a diverse and luxurious playground where a “World Class, Asian Heart” service philosophy comes to life.

On May 27, 2015, Galaxy Macau and Broadway Macau™ doubled the original size to over 1.1 million square meters in its Phase 2 development with the addition of three new hotels: JW Marriott Macau, the largest hotel of its brand in Asia, The Ritz-Carlton, Macau, the brand’s first all-suite hotel in the world; and Broadway Hotel, an exquisitely designed boutique hotel.

Galaxy Macau’s 75,000-square-meter Grand Resort Deck features the world’s longest Skytop Adventure Rapids at 575 meters, the largest Skytop Wave Pool and a 150-meter white sand beach. The resort offers 120 dining options, ranging from Michelin-starred dining to authentic delicacies featuring 18 Chinese provincial cuisines and 13 international cuisines. Galaxy Macau also contains Galaxy Promenade, a 100,000-square-meter luxury lifestyle shopping destination featuring more than 200 world-renowned brands.

In future, Galaxy Macau will welcome the legendary Raffles brand with the opening of an exclusive, all-suite luxury tower – Raffles at Galaxy Macau featuring approximately 450 suites. The integrated resort is also unveiling a brand new chapter with the openings of the Galaxy International Convention Center (GICC) with a total MICE space of 40,000 sqm, a 16,000-seat Galaxy Arena and the 700-room and suite Andaz Macau. By then Galaxy Macau will boast a portfolio of 8 world-class hotels offering around 5,000 rooms, suites and villas, a comprehensive collection for discerning guests.

Galaxy Entertainment Group

Galaxy Entertainment Group (“GEG” or the “Group”) is one of the world’s leading resorts, hospitality and gaming companies. It primarily develops and operates a large portfolio of integrated resort, retail, dining, hotel and gaming facilities in Macau. The Group is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the Hang Seng Index.

GEG is one of the three original concessionaires in Macau with a successful track record of delivering innovative, spectacular and award winning properties, products and services, underpinned by a “World Class, Asian Heart” service philosophy, that has enabled it to consistently outperform the market in Macau.

GEG operates three flagship destinations in Macau: on Cotai, Galaxy Macau™, one of the world’s largest integrated destination resorts, and the adjoining Broadway Macau™, a unique landmark entertainment and food street destination; and on the Peninsula, StarWorld Hotel, an award winning premium property.

The Group has the largest undeveloped landbank of any concessionaire in Macau. When The Next Chapter of its Cotai development is completed, GEG’s resorts footprint on Cotai will double to more than 2 million square meters, making the resorts, entertainment and MICE precinct one of the largest and most diverse integrated destinations in the world. GEG is also progressing plans for its Hengqin project and we are also expanding our focus beyond Hengqin and Macau to potentially include opportunities within the rapidly expanding Greater Bay Area. These projects will help GEG develop and support Macau in its vision of becoming a World Centre of Tourism and Leisure.

In July 2015, GEG made a strategic investment in Société Anonyme des Bains de Mer et du Cercle des Etrangers à Monaco (“Monte-Carlo SBM”), a world renowned owner and operator of iconic luxury hotels and resorts in the Principality of Monaco. GEG continues to explore a range of international development opportunities with Monte-Carlo SBM including Japan.

GEG is committed to delivering world class unique experiences to its guests and building a sustainable future for the communities in which it operates. For details, please refer to the section on Corporate Social Responsibility.
