On this day dedicated to lovers, Chef Hayashi Hideaki takes the opportunity to create for you romantic, delicious memories to savor for years to come.
The sumptuous feast begins with a refreshing appetizer of Hyogo firefly squid, fried burdock and other winter ingredients in their prime. Often enjoyed as a banquet soup, dobin mushi is made by gently steaming abalone, clams and vegetables in a dobin tea pot to give a clear broth that is packed with the umami flavor of the seafood. Known for its delicate taste, the spiny lobster from Mie is regarded as the “king of shrimp”. It is coated in a light tempura batter then deep-fried until crispy to fully preserve its elegant sweetness and flavorful flesh. In addition to these seasonal delicacies, you can also enjoy the all-time favorite, Bungo wagyu steak, seared to tender perfection and served with mashed potato and greens.
For desserts, we have specially prepared the rich and moist chocolate gâteau to pair with the refreshing Shizuoka crown melon and matcha ice cream – a sweet way to round off a romantic evening.
