Galaxy Macau Launches Delectable Northeastern Chinese Cuisine

(Hong Kong & Macau, 20 April 2018)– From now until end of June, Galaxy Macau™ – The Dining Destination in Asia, will be serving authentic Northeastern Chinese Cuisine at Festiva and The Noodle Kitchen.

To mark the occasion, a media dinner event was held at CHINA ROUGE on 16 April. The event was attended by 30 media guests from China, Hong Kong and Macau as well as Mr. Cheng Wai Tong, Acting Director of Macao Government Tourist Office (MGTO), Macao SAR; and Mr. Shen Hung Fei, the chief consultant of the popular gourmet documentary in China— “A Bite of China”, to celebrate the launch of the new Northeastern Chinese Cuisine offering.

During the dinner, ten celebrated chefs from three Northeast provinces in China meticulously crafted nine delectable dishes with exceptional ingredients such as abalones from Zhangzi Island, live sea cucumbers and sea urchins from Haiyangdao. The visiting chefs not only impressed diners with their gastronomic prowess, but also gave local chefs the opportunity to share ideas with and learn from them.

This occasion is the first in a series of exciting programs that Galaxy Macau will be launching over the course of 2018. In conjunction with the Macao Government Tourism Office’s “2018 Macao Year of Gastronomy” campaign, Galaxy Entertainment Group is making every effort to support Macao as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy. Gastronomy is an integral part of Macau’s cultural identity, and this programme will serve to enhance Macau’s reputation as a home to innovative culinary developments.
